Reserve the Bulk Press

RESERVE

Ethic Cider has partnered with Slow Food Russian River to make a second, larger commercial press available for our community to use on Tuesday mornings during our 2026 apple season. This option is available for those who want to press 500 to 1,000 lbs of apples.

To respect this wonderful collaboration we have created a few guidelines for using their equipment and working on their farm.

  1. Pressing Hours: public use of the Ethic Cider press is currently limited to Tuesday mornings, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Reservations are scheduled for 60 minutes and at least one Slow Food volunteer will be on-site to assist with loading and clean up.
  2. Transportation: All apples, juice containers, and apple pomace must be brought to and removed from the property at the end of each pressing window. On-site composting is not available.
  3. Operation: Only Ethic personnel or trained Slow Food staff may operate the press and conveyer while on-site.
  4. Eligibility: Only non-commercial community members are eligible to use the press.
  5. Volume: Please plan to press between 500 and 1,000 pounds (a half bin to a full bin) of apples. Unsprayed or near-organic apples are strongly preferred. For smaller volumes, please reserve time with the regular weekend Community Apple Press.
  6. Availability: We ask that you reserve the press no more than three times (three time slots) during the season.
