Single Thread Tour, Glean and Bring Your Lunch Picnic

It’s time for us to share Good, Clean, Fair Food with others in Sonoma County by gleaning for Farm to Pantry, which supplies food to 85 community partners, including food banks, senior centers, and low-income housing (www.farmtopantry.org).
We will have the opportunity to glean at the acclaimed Single Thread Farm. The farm has 24 acres of hand-farmed gardens, an heirloom fruit orchard, and beehives. We will then have the privilege of bringing our own picnic and eating among the gardens! What better way to get a tour than walking through the gardens picking vegetables?!
Here is some information from Farm to Pantry:
- The gleaning shift is 3 hours.
- No prior experience or knowledge is necessary! Our staff or glean leader will provide tools and all the information you’ll need to harvest
- Wear closed-toe shoes.
- Bring layers, water, and sun protection
- Volunteers can take home some produce, so be sure to bring a bag for your bounty!
